About Us

The first-ever Catalina Underwater Film Festival (CUFF) is a celebration of ocean storytelling, underwater cinematography, and marine conservation. At its heart is a belief that stories can shift the way people see the sea, and in doing so, help protect it!

In conjunction with the 45th Avalon Harbor Cleanup, we are proud to announce the inaugural film festival, set against the backdrop of the historic Casino Theatre in Avalon, CA, on February 19-20, 2027! 

With the festival's theme “Films That Awaken New Depths,” we invite films that stir curiosity, spark emotion, and deepen our connection to the underwater world. We’re honored that all proceeds from the festival will support the Casino Point Restoration Project, and the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber.
